C ongratulations! Having a baby is one of the most rewarding experiences in your lives. At Sunshine Pediatrics we understand how important breastfeeding is for families and we aim to provide the support, knowledge and encouragement that our families need. Our pediatric nurse practitioner, Felicia James, is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She is equipped to assist with many breastfeeding concerns such as latching issues, jaundice, tongue-tie, torticollis, low milk supply, engorgement, pumping techniques, breastfeeding multiples, weight checks, and more.

At Sunshine Pediatrics, we are committed to helping you care for your child and we want your pre- and post-natal experience to be wonderful. We encourage expecting families to make an appointment with Dr. Clark to meet her prior to your delivery, discuss your concerns and ask any questions regarding “life after baby”.

In hopes of getting our patients off to great start, we schedule many newborn appointments with Felicia. Our office is now equipped with a lactation room for private lactation consults and breastfeeding sessions. Lactation visits will be billed to the child’s insurance company for reimbursement.

This service is complimentary and is intended to help make your transition to parenthood easier. Please call our office to make an appointment for a “prenatal visit”.
