Meet The providers

Dr. Maiya Clark

Dr. Maiya Clark graduated Magna Cum Laude from Spelman College where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics.  She completed her medical education at Georgetown University School of Medicine in her hometown of Washington, DC.  She completed her pediatric residency at The Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper Hospital in Camden, New Jersey.  After residency, Dr. Clark returned to the DC metropolitan area and practiced for several years at a large practice based in Annapolis, MD. 

After leaving that practice, Dr. Clark opened her own practice in Silver Spring, MD.  Dr. Clark wholeheartedly believes in practicing the art of medicine with integrity and compassion.  She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is Board Certified in Pediatrics.  Dr. Clark has a special interest in behavioral pediatrics and childhood obesity.  In her spare time she enjoys traveling, cooking, attending church activities and playing golf. 

Dr. Maiya Clark

Nkechinyere Uwandu is a family nurse practitioner board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She received her Master of Science in Nursing degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Howard University. Prior to attending graduate school, Nkechinyere worked as a pediatric registered nurse at the Johns Hopkins Hospital Bloomberg Children's Center. She also has experience as a community health nurse. Nkechinyere is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

Nkechinyere's special interests in pediatrics include adolescent medicine, asthma education, childhood obesity, and community health. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, listening to music, fitness, and game nights with family and friends.
